I've no idea what went wrong with us... Irreparable damage done over the weekend was at least $750 over...
I guess this is the first time after so many years that we actually had a mad shopping spree in sgp...
My wardrobe is filled with clothes I've bought from HK all these years that I hardly will not have anything not bought from HK on me when I go out. Every single bag I use now are bought in HK too, down to my wallet and skincare.
It's really an amazing weekend. To recount...
Half day leave on Friday brought us to the tanjong pagar railway that's walking down history and into memory lane come this June end. It was probably this day that made me feel like a tourist in my land. Took bus 100 to the station and along the way passed by aljunid and geylang. The used-to-be-so-familiar shophouses reminded me of how long I've not taken a bus ride in sgp, at least not a long ride lasting more than 40 minutes. It could be a good 2-3 years. The timing we took was good, about 4.45pm. So the bus is not in the usual crowded and packed mode. As the bus passed the buildings and I looked out in the city area, I can't help but got this weird feeling of 'how much home had changed the past few years'. This should be the feeling my fren working overseas is feeling everytime she's back home.
N now, even historic buildings has gotta give way to creating new history. Took some photos of the railway track before my camera batt died on me... Did a gung-ho action where I jumped down the track to take some pics and before long was spotted by an officer. Dear says it's lucky I'm not remanded by them coz it's ultimately not our territory.
Could be going there again once more to makan before it closes...
Next stop. 6:45pm - keppel bay tower where I finally brought my camera for servicing.
After that, time was spent at Tangs vivo as I wanted to buy heels for work. Tried a few pair, either not very suitable else was sold out for my size. Not very lucky.
Dinner was spent at Crystal Jade dining. Was accompanied with fireworks from sentosa. A small little romantico...
Sat @ bugis junction
Madly bought 2 pair of heels at 1-go. Wanted to try on another pair but what stopped me was coz of the bulky shoe boxes...
Next stop @ MU
3 pieces shortlisted. only bought 1 and reserved 1 from another outlet. Gave up on 1 coz birthday month coming and should get another 5% off from my current 15%. shall see if I still have fate with that later on.
Famished... Dinner @ TCC with another fren. 4 main courses for 3 pax and I'm still not full. 2 more cakes and a drink each later on filled my appetite.
Sun @ 313 Somerset
Collected my blouse from MU and curbed my desire to step into Tian Po.
Domanchi @ Centrepoint
Finally it's dear's turn. 2 long sleeved + 1 pair of trousers. 1 short sleeved I will collect from another outlet on thur.
Dinner @ I forgot the name restaurant (it's opposite Prima Taste kitchen)
Love the food there coz it reminds me of the food in HK... 1 seafood hor fun + 1 stir fried broccoli + 1 dumpling soup + 1 shuang pin (chicken & roasted meat). Yummy!!! We probably gave the couple beside our table a little surprise with all the food we ordered. The tab was actually about the same as what we had in crystal jade on Friday night!
As we were strolling to the MRT, I popped by OG orchard point.. Wanted to get in-soles for my heels. ended up buying the bio- something soles from Scholls. Luckily there is a 20% off else further damage would have been added.
Thinking back as I'm lying in bed now... In sgp... we probably did not spend so much in 1 year as compared to this 1 weekend. Well, why did I used to say that I can't get anything in sgp???
Retail therapy seems to be doing quite well for me... But I think I will return to my hermit life once my card bills come in...
